Most value questions can be answered by the major price guides. Blue Book of Gun Values by Fjestad, uses the percentage system, good for modern guns, no pictures. Probably the most widely used price guide. Published annually. Other Blue Book publications - Blue Book of Black Powder Values, Blue Book of Air Guns, etc. All are sound specialty. Make note of the exact model of the gun and the manufacturer. Jot down the serial number and the year the gun was manufactured as well. That will be important when obtaining free gun values.

Where will the prices come from on FPG? Prices will be determined from actual sales of firearms throughout the country, not the opinion of some gun expert based on what he THINKS a gun should be worth.
What makes me an expert on gun prices? NOTHING. I am a novice to the gun world by many people's standards.
So why would I start a price guide? Because it needs to be done and I have ample experience in price guide construction, operating, and maintaining.
