Only the Dead Survive. A massive deep-space mining ship goes dark after unearthing a strange artifact on a distant planet. Engineer Isaac Clarke embarks on the repair mission, only to uncover a nightmarish blood bath the ship's crew horribly slaughtered and infected by alien scourge. Dead Space for PC begins when a massive mining ship, the USG Ishimura, comes in contact with a mysterious alien artifact and suddenly loses its communications with Earth. Engineer Isaac Clarke is sent to repair the Ishimura's communications, but arrives to find a floating vessel that has become a complete bloodbath. Anesthesia Implications
- Difficult mask ventilation secondary to poor seal(edentulous)
- Difficult intubation secondary to arthritis of TM joint/Cervical spine
- Improved visualization of vocal cords during intubation secondary to missing upper teeth.
- Aspiration pneumonia common- decreased airway protective reflexes and inadequ clearing of secretions.
- Consider pain control through epidurals/local anesthesia/intercostals blocks etc.
- MAC decreased by 4% per decade over 40 yrs., e.g., Halothane MAC- 0.77, age of 80 MAC would be 0.77 – [0.77 * 4% * 4]
- Decreased cardiac output – onset of action is faster.
- Myocardial depressant effects of anesthetic gases is exaggerated in the elderly
- Recovery from anesthesia is prolonged
- Increased volume of distribution
- Decreased hepatic function ( significant with halothane use
- Decreased pulmonary gas exchange
- Tachycardia tendencies of desflurane and isoflurane decreased in the elderly.

Install is simple:
1. Get Porting Kit or Crossover if you don’t have it yet.
2. Then download the GOG.com setup files from Dead Space from GOG.
3. Then use this Crosstie… or in Porting Kit search the game on the library –> server tab and click install.
4. After installation of the game, “exit” the GOG installer.
5. Click “Play” to start the game! Have fun!
I recommend to buy the GOG.com version which is DRM free and works straight away out of the box. Used that version in the video. Click on the links mentioned here, create an account using the signup in the top bar on the GOG.com website and buy the game. You automatically get when creating an account 14 free GOG games (+ some dlc’s) added to your account so you have nothing to loose, only to receive! Make sure the setup file is downloaded into your download folder before running the Crosstie, so that Crossover recognizes the file and launches the setup automatically.
Game Description:
You are Isaac Clarke, an engineer on the spacecraft USG Ishimura. You’re not a warrior. You’re not a soldier.
